Sometimes you have to write a letter of motivation to apply for a Bachelor or Master degree and you can use them perfectly.
In addition, you’ve also enhanced your language skills. You speak probably have a good English level after a year in the US. If you now take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System), you’re sure to do very well and meet the requirements for various studies.
The year in the USA really gave you a big career boost and will be beneficial for your personal life as well as your career.

Now the travel bug got you. It’s quite possible that you come back home and can hardly stand it here and would like to go travelling again straight away. That’s perfectly normal and there are many opportunities to go abroad again. You could study a semester abroad or find an internship in another country. Just remember, where there is a will, there is a way.
